New Muthaiga Residents Association is a member of Northern Block. This is a powerful grouping of associations in Northern Nairobi including Nyari Estate, Lakeview Estate, Spring Valley, Rosslyn Lone Tree, Rosslyn Heights, Peponi Road, Hill View, Gigiri Road, Rosslyn Alliance, Mitini Estate, Kunde Road. As a member of Northern Block we have access to enormous resources and advocacy that allow us to “punch above our weight” when dealing with illegal developments, coordination of local physical development plans, maintaining water tables, fighting climate change, and preserving green spaces & biodiversity

WHAT IS NORTHERN BLOCK?

Northern Block is an alliance of resident associations dedicated to promoting sustainable developments and preserving natural resources and biodiversity within Nairobi Zones 13, 6, and 4A.

Its mission is to ensure that all developments align with zoning laws and community interest, while safeguard- ing the environment for future generations.

Unified over a dozen residents’ associations to strengthen our voice

• Engaged in zoning policy and GIS mapping for the Local Physical Development Plan
